OSLO, April 23 (Reuters) - Oslo-listed Vaar Energi , majority-owned by Italy's Eni, on Tuesday posted first-quarter operating profit in line with expectations, while maintaining a $270 million dividend guidance for the second quarter.

Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) for the January-March quarter fell to $1.05 million from $1.43 billion a year earlier, compared to an average $1.06 billion forecast in a Vaar poll of 14 analysts. (Reporting by Nerijus Adomaitis, editing by Terje Solsvik)
