Dream Vision Co.,Ltd. (TSE:3185) agreed to acquire Sumisho Brand Management Corporation from Sumitomo Corporation (TSE:8053) and Sumitomo Corporation Taiwan Ltd. for ¥500 million on August 30, 2018. Under the terms of the acquisition, 0.08 million shares will be acquired. Sumitomo Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation Taiwan Ltd. will sell 99.08% and 0.92% stake respectively. Sumisho Brand Management Corporation will transfer a part of business to other company before the shares transfer. Upon completion, Sumisho Brand Management Corporation will become a consolidated subsidiary of Dream Vision Co.,Ltd. As of March 31, 2018, Sumisho Brand Management Corporation reported net assets of ¥5.3 billion and total assets of ¥6.5 billion, sales of ¥8.8 billion, operating income of ¥252.8 million and net income of ¥137 million. The Board of Directors of Dream Vision Co.,Ltd. passed a resolution on the transaction on August 30, 2018 and the acquisition is expected to complete in late October 2018.

DREAM VISION CO.,LTD. is a Japan-based company engaged in the sale of apparel, jewelry and toy products, as well as the consulting business. The Company has four business segments. The Apparel segment is engaged in the sale of fashion related products such as clothing, shoes and miscellaneous goods for women on the e-commerce (EC) site, and the sale of clothing at department stores. For sales on the EC site, the Company uses the Speciality Store Retailer of Private Label Apparel (SPA) techniques from product planning to manufacturing and retailing.
