Welcoming new leadership to Domino's Germany

Stoffel Thijs will officially step down from his role at the end of 2023.

Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX:DMP) has today announced new leadership of its German business, following the decision from the current CEO to retire from Domino's.

Alexander Tauer will assume the role of Domino's Germany CEO

Stoffel Thijs will officially step down as Domino's Germany CEO at the end of the calendar year, and current Domino's Germany COO Alexander Tauer will step up.

Domino's Group CEO & Managing Director Don Meij paid tribute to Mr Thijs's more than two and a half decades of service to Domino's, which started as a teenage delivery driver.

"After an incredible 26 years with the business, Mr Thijs has decided the time has come to hang up his apron and explore a new challenge outside of Domino's.

"Under Mr Thijs' leadership, our German business and franchisee partners saw some incredible success (despite immense challenges like a global pandemic and unprecedented inflation to name a few).

"He brought a high energy, people-focused, record-breaking mentality to the role that will forever live on in the business and all who worked with him.

"I would like to take this opportunity to recognise his numerous successes, thank him for the enormous contributions that he has made to our business, and wish him every success in this next chapter of his life.

"He leaves behind an incredible legacy, including the many people he has helped grow through the business; his successor Mr Tauer included."

Mr Tauer started at Domino's in 2012 and has held a number of important roles in the German business in the past 11 years, including Head of Franchise Operations, Development Director and most recently Chief Operating Officer.

Mr Tauer said: "I am excited to take on this new challenge and am committed to continuing to grow sales, customer counts and profitability for our German franchisee partners.

"I have had the privilege of working in a number of different roles in the German business over the years and look forward to applying all of these learnings and lenses to my new role - helping our franchisee partners grow and prosper."

Mr Tauer will report into experienced Europe CEO Andre' ten Wolde.

Mr ten Wolde said: "I am confident that our German business is in good hands with Mr Tauer at the helm and look forward to working more closely with him in the coming months and years ahead."

Mr Thijs will officially finish with the business on 31 December 2023, and will work closely with Mr Tauer in the next few months to ensure a smooth transition.
