Clavister announced a new agreement with Nokia for Three UK. The new agreement will see Three UK evolving their 5G cybersecurity posture in tight collaboration with Clavister and Nokia. In the initial phase, through a substantial order placed with Clavister at the end of the second quarter, Three UK commissions Clavister professional service experts to conduct a network-wide upgrade to the latest version of Clavister NetShield, Clavister's carrier-grade, high-performance network firewall for mobile networks.

As the upgrade progresses, Clavister will benefit from subsequent software license orders, in the process also transitioning the business with Three UK to a scalable subscription model. As mobile operators continue to evolve their 5G plans, the expanding threat landscape and increasing sophistication of attacks requires an end-to-end, well integrated network security. In the UK, broadband and mobile companies are facing stricter security rules following new regulations developed by National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Ofcom.

Customers are looking for network security solutions that are designed for cloud environments and enable rapid scalability in a cost-efficient manner. Clavister and Nokia has been long-term partner for Three UK, bringing their combined expertise to tackle 5G specificities in the cyber security domain. Through Nokia's Managed Security Services (MSS), Three UK will be able to take further advantage of Clavister's technology to scale-up to their specific needs as well as Nokia's highly experienced operational teams.
