China Railway Construction Corporation Limited - The World's Largest Main Bearing for TBM was Rolled Off the Production Line

On October 12th, the world's largest main bearing for tunnel boring machine (TBM) independently developed by CRCC successfully rolled off the production line in Changsha! This signifies that China has reached world-leading levels in R&D and industrialization of extra-large diameter main bearings.

The bearing has a diameter of 8.61 meters, as tall as a 3-story building. It can be used to drive super large diameter TBMs of 18 meters and withstand over 10,000 tons of huge load. CRCC's project team has finally overcome manufacturing difficulties through hundreds of experiments with various processes and materials, enabling the bearing to have a long service life and high manufacturing precision.
