This announcement is made by Beijing Jingneng Clean Energy Co., Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") pursuant to Rules 13.09(2) and 13.51(2) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules") and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined in the Listing Rules) of Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

It has come to the attention of the board of directors of the Company (the "Board") that according to the information on the website of CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Commission for Discipline Inspection ( 中 共 內 蒙 古 自 治 區 紀 律 檢 查 委 員 會) and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Supervisory Committee ( 內 蒙 古 自 治 區 監 察 委 員 會), Mr. Zhang Fusheng ("Mr. Zhang"), an independent non-executive director of the Company, is currently under disciplinary inspection and supervisory investigation for suspected serious disciplinary violations.

The Company currently maintains normal business operations. The Company will closely monitor any further information relating to Mr. Zhang and will make further announcement(s) in accordance with the requirements of the Listing Rules as and when appropriate.
