Banco Santander-Chile reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported net interest income was CLP 119,138 million compared to CLP 360,139 million a year ago. Net income was CLP 185,592 million compared to CLP 176,496 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CLP 0.98 compared to CLP 0.94 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was CLP 0.98 compared to CLP 0.94 a year ago.
For the nine months, net interest income was CLP 472,274 million compared to CLP 1,101,051 million a year ago. Net income was CLP 706,849 million compared to CLP 546,565 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CLP 3.75 compared to CLP 2.9 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was CLP 3.75 compared to CLP 2.9 a year ago.
Banco Santander-Chile (the Bank), formerly Banco Santander Chile, is a Chilean bank. The Bank's segments include Retail banking, Middle-market, Global Corporate Banking and Corporate Activities (Other). The Retail Banking segment consists of individuals and small to middle-sized entities (SMEs). The Middle-market segment serves companies and large corporations. The Global Corporate Banking segment consists of foreign and domestic multinational companies. The Corporate Activities segment includes its Financial Management Division, which develops global management functions.
