Bajaj Electricals Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2023. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was INR 12,259.9 million compared to INR 13,018.1 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 12,709.7 million compared to INR 13,209.1 million a year ago. Net income was INR 373.6 million compared to INR 611.2 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 3.25 compared to INR 5.4 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 3.24 compared to INR 5.39 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was INR 3.25 compared to INR 5.31 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was INR 3.24 compared to INR 5.3 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was INR 34,413.7 million compared to INR 35,774.6 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 35,172 million compared to INR 36,216.8 million a year ago. Net income was INR 1,017.7 million compared to INR 1,643.2 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 9.26 compared to INR 14.14 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 9.24 compared to INR 14.1 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was INR 8.84 compared to INR 14.3 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was INR 8.83 compared to INR 14.26 a year ago.
Bajaj Electricals Limited is engaged in the marketing of various consumer household and industrial goods. The Company operates through two segments: Consumer Products and Lighting Solutions. The Consumer Products segment is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of consumer durables products which includes fans, domestic appliances, kitchen appliances, and non-electrical kitchen aids. The Lighting Solutions segment is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of lighting products which includes light-emitting diode (LED) products, such as lamps, bulbs, battens and ceiling lights in consumer lighting and poles, high mast, street lighting, area lighting, in professional lighting. It also provides various fans comprising ceiling, pedestal, table, wall, personal, domestic, and others. It also involved in the engineering, procurement and commissioning of power transmission and power distribution infrastructure. It operates approximately 2,00,000 retail outlets.
