AFFIN GROUP FOCUSES ON LONG-TERM STRATEGIC THRUSTS & FINANCIAL

TARGETS THROUGH ITS A25 PLAN

KUALA LUMPUR - Affin Bank Berhad ("AFFIN BANK" or "the Group") held its 47th Annual General Meeting ("AGM") today and shareholders passed all thirteen (13) resolutions.

AFFIN Group registered a record performance for the financial year ended 2022 with Profit Before Tax (PBT) of RM1.377 billion - an increase of 96% from the previous year's numbers to surpass the RM1 billion profit milestone for the very first time, despite the challenging operating environment and market volatility in 2022.

AFFIN BANK also declared a final dividend of 7.77 sen which represents a total of 30.4 sen or RM677.1 million total dividend paid in FY2022.

President & Group Chief Executive Officer of Affin Bank Berhad, YBhg. Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah presented an update during the AGM where he said, "We have made great strides in our transformational process and the AIM22 Plan's completion represents yet another key accomplishment, of which some of the achievements include:

He added, "We are also honoured to have receive the 2023 Malaysian Banking Transformational Excellence Award at the 5th Malaysian Banking and Finance Summit on 23 May 2023. The recognition reflects the continuation of our growth strategy to morph into a forward-looking, tech- enabled and customer-centric organisation".

The AGM was chaired by the Chairman of Affin Bank Berhad, YBhg. Dato' Agil Natt, together with the Board of Directors and President & Group Chief Executive Officer, YBhg. Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah as well as the Senior Management.

The Chairman thanked all the investors, customers and other stakeholders for their continued support in enabling the Group to deliver excellent performance consistently. He also thanked the employees for their hard work, professionalism and commitment. AFFIN Group will remain focused on providing profitable and sustainable growth and will grow to become a Modern and Progressive Bank.
