Our partner Autodesk has announced that they recently launched a new transaction model for customers purchasing subscriptions in Australia. Assuming the launch proceeds as expected, in the next two years Autodesk intend to transition its indirect business to the new transaction model in all its major markets globally. In the new transaction model, Autodesk solution providers like Symetri provide a quote to customers but the actual transaction happens directly between Autodesk and the customer.

The introduction of this new transaction model is not expected to have a major impact on EBITA and cashflow for Symetri and Addnode Group, as net proceeds from Autodesk is expected to be similar in value. For clarity, Symetri’s sales of other third-party technologies, training, support, consultancy, and its own developed technology will continue to be transacted and invoiced as they are today.

Symetri has a strong services capability with a supporting portfolio of its own developed products. Symetri is in a strong position to adapt to any changes in transaction models, providing significant value to customers and ensuring they work smarter and more sustainably“ says Johan Andersson, CEO and President, Addnode Group.
