Kenyans living abroad will enjoy more banking services after Absa Bank Kenya introduced a new digital solution.

The financial institution says that the new platform will offer banking, savings, and payment services.

Absa Managing Director Abdi Mohamed said that the solution will allow those in the diaspora to invest in local projects.

"As a partner embracing digital technology, we understand Kenyans' aspirations and it's our commitment to unlock their immense economic potential and value through innovative people- centered solutions," Mohamed said.

"This proposition will offer various banking options as if the customers were living in Kenya. Whether Kenyans in the Diaspora are living in other African countries, the Middle East, America, or Europe, they can continue transacting without having to travel back home," he added.

Likewise, it will simplify money transfer services from banks to phones, which is a preferred payment method for education, medical care, household expenses, groceries, and shopping.

Absa adds that the platform will offer users options to access their savings and payment options using different currencies on smartphones, tablets, and computers.
