Qazi Shahidul Alam

Qazi Shahidul Alam is the founder of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
He currently holds multiple positions including Vice Chairman at Islami Bank Foundation, Chairman-Governors Board at Uttara Adhunik Medical College, Chairman-Governance Board at Islami Bank Medical College & Hospital, Director at Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, Trustee at Bangladesh National Society for the Blind, Professor-Orthopedic Surgery at Anwer Khan Modern Medical College, Member-Governors Board at Dr. Sirajul Islam Medical College, and General Secretary at Dhaka Medical College Students Union.
Dr. Alam has formerly worked as Director at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital, Director-Medical Education at Directorate General of Health Services, Secretary at Bangladesh Medical Association, Secretary-Students Union at Dhaka Medical College, President at Dhaka Medical College Teachers Association, President at Bangladesh Orthopedic Society, Secretary at Professional Association of Engineers, Doctors & Agri, and President at Post Graduate Doctors Association of Bangladesh.
He holds a doctorate degree from the University of Vienna, a graduate degree from the University of Dhaka, and a doctorate degree from Dhaka Medical College.
