BBVA & Partners Alternative Investments SA AV (BBVA & Partners-AI) is the asset management arm of BBVA Asset Management SA SGIIC, ultimately held by Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (NYSE: BBVA, MP: BBVA) in Spain. Established in 2002, the firm is a joint venture between BBVA and the firm's partners. BBVA & Partners AI is based in Madrid and manages the BBVA range of funds.

BBVA Asset Management SA SGIIC (BBVA-AM) is the asset management subsidiary of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME: BBVA, ADR: BBVA) in Spain. Founded in 1979 as BBV Gestinova, the firm became BBVA Gestión in 2000 when BBV Gestinova and Argentaria Gestión merged and was rebranded as BBVA-AM in 2008. They are headquartered in Madrid and manage pension plans and participate in the Latin American markets of Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. BBVA-AM also manages a range of investment mandates for insurance companies, employment plans and corporate clients through their platform in Luxembourg.
