Previously, Mr. Bloom was President and Chief Operating Officer of Rx Capital Management LP, a healthcare-sector hedge fund; the chief operating officer of Omega Advisors, Inc., a multibillion-dollar generalist hedge fund; and deputy head of the group at Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc. responsible for building and overseeing the firm's offshore funds business.
Earlier in his career, he practiced corporate and banking law at Kramer, Levin, Naftalis & Frankel and at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, respectively.
Mr. Bloom holds an AB cum laude in Economics from Yale College, a BA (Hons.) and an MA in jurisprudence from the University of Oxford, and a JD from Columbia University School of Law.
