BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) _ T-Mobile US Inc. (TMUS) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $110 million.

On a per-share basis, the Bellevue, Washington-based company said it had net income of 9 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 61 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 11 cents per share.

The wireless carrier posted revenue of $17.67 billion in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Nine analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $17.77 billion.

T-Mobile shares have risen 38% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $108.10, an increase of 40% in the last 12 months.
