VSY General Director Term of Office Extended for 5 Years

On May 24, 2017, by the decision of the Board of Directors of PJSC Vyborg Shipyard general director of Vyborg Shipyard Alexander Solovyev was reelected for a new term in accordance with the Charter of the Company. The new term of office is set until June 1, 2022.

For the first time Alexander Solovyev was elected general director from June 1.2012, for a period of 5 years. His current term of office is expiring on June 1, 2017.

Under the direction of Alexander Solovyev Vyborg Shipyard built and handed over to the Customer the icebreakers 21900 M, concluded a series of contracts with fishing companies for the construction of fishing trawlers. Besides, starting from 2015 Vyborg Shipyard has been constructing a series of icebreaking support vessels and a port icebreaker. During the term of Alexander Solovyev there was successfully implemented the shipyard modernization program including upgrading of the production facilities for construction of larger-size vessels through the use of the barge Atlant.
