Virbac announced that it had launched a USD 22 million (EUR 17.5 million) production facility in Guadalajara, Mexico, in a move to reinforce its international development. The plant, which covers an area of 7,800 sq m (84,000 sq ft), will produce sterile injectable drugs, 60% of which will be distributed across Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Virbac also announced the recent appointment of Pierre Catignol, a former Sanofi Pasteur senior manager, as head of industrial operations Mexico.
