(Alliance News) - Tyman PLC on Thursday said Jo Hallas will be stepping down as the company's chief executive officer and director, effective immediately.

The London-based supplier of door and window components said Chief Financial Officer Jason Ashton, will take on the position of interim CEO immediately until a permanent replacement is found.

Tyman said Hallas will remain available to the company over the next 12 months to "ensure an orderly handover."

Chair Nick Hartery said: "Jo has done a tremendous job over the last four years. The board and I would like to thank Jo for her significant contributions including establishing and driving the group's strategy with sustainability at its core, leading our recovery in North America, and seeing the group through the pandemic and resulting global supply chain challenges.

"Having established these strong foundations, it has been mutually agreed that now is the right time to step down and allow her successor to lead the next stage of Tyman's development. We wish her well for the future," he added.

Shares were 1.7% lower at 228.00 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
