STOCKHOLM--Tele2 AB said Tuesday that it has appointed Yogesh Malik to lead the company's new combined technology and IT unit and Stefan Trampus head of Tele2 B2B.

The Sweden-based telecoms company said Yogesh Malik becomes executive vice president CTIO from Jan. 12.

Mr. Malik has held many senior roles in multinational companies over the last 15 years including group CTO at VEON, head of group technology at Telenor ASA and CEO at Telenor India as well as serving at the board of GSMA, the global mobile network operators association.

Thomas Helbo, EVP Technology, and Joss Delissen, EVP IT, will leave Tele2 after a handover period.

Mr. Trampus has been appointed executive vice president of Tele2 B2B and will lead the Swedish B2B unit, from Jan. 18. He is currently director of the network operator business and CEO of Tele2's subsidiary iTUX. He will remain in his role as CEO of iTUX.

Tele2 said Mats Almgren, who was expected to start his appointment as executive vice president Tele2 B2B on Jan. 18, won't join the company due to personal reasons.
