Power reduction of Cernavoda NPP Unit 1

S.N. Nuclearelectrica S.A ("SNN") announces that Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 will operate, starting with 01:00 hours, on September 18^th2021, at a reduced power in order to perform repair works to an equipment of the classical part of the power plant.

The power reduction is necessary as the repair works cannot be performed with the unit operating at nominal power.

After completing the activities, Unit 1 will operate again at nominal power.

The controlled power reduction and the repair works are prepared and performed under full safety conditions and in compliance with the specific procedures of the power plant.
