Chief engineer of Rosseti JSC discussed production activity of IDGC of the South with company's management

At the meeting with management of IDGC of the South, heads of branches and Donenergo JSC the chief engineer of Rosseti JSC Alexandr Faustov stressed the issues of provision reliable energy supply to customers.

Particular attention Alexandr Valdimirovich paid to maintain high level of reliability of electricity supply to customers in difficult economic times. As priority activities were defined equipment troubleshooting, early detection of faults, prevention of occurrence and development of faults, measures to eliminate any possibility of workplace injury, shared responsibility of employees and officials for occupational safety. The Chief engineer focused on the necessity of keeping production staff. All these activities and goals were defined as the top priorities for 2015.

Alexandr Vladimirovich expressed concern over the high level of injuries in Kalmykia and ordered to form a Targeted programme to enhance safety of equipment in "Kalmenergo", the programme shall consist of a range of events aimed at reduction of accidents.

Valeriy Gordienko, deputy director general in charge of engineering supervision, mentioned at the meeting that notwithstanding the drawbacks IDGC of the South carries out its activity at decent level without major accidents, industrial accidents and fires, and by the results of 2014 occurrence rate of industrial injuries and accidents has reduced.

The participants of the meeting also noted the severe weather conditions, like icing, string winds, typical for the southern regions, are the main cause of the accidents in autumn-winter seasons.

Boris Ebzeev, director general of IDGC of the South, JSC, presented information on staff training and activities carried out in company that help provide reliable energy supply to customers in conditions of current autumn-winter season and forthcoming flood season. Boris Borisovich stressed that the main goal of the Company is reliable power supply to customers despite harsh economic conditions that company is operating in.

Another issue of great importance was, first of all, the necessity of increasing the volume of works performed using own resources without attracting contractors and secondly the importance of efficient planning of production programmes to provide operation of equipment in predetermined process conditions.

All participants stressed the importance of the efficiency of chosen way of maintaining and increasing qualification of staff that includes drills at training bases of distribution zones of IDGC of the South, JSC.

The participants also agreed on necessity to implement activities aimed at prevention of injuries from electricity among citizens - lectures on electrical safety, awareness campaigns and transfer of overhead lines from the territory of educational facilities.
