Engineers from Adygeiskiye power networks, branch of Kubanenergo PJSC (Rosseti group), have accomplished major repair project on a section of 110kV electricity transmission line 'Shovgenovskaya - Armavir', which among other works included replacement of 2.1 thousand insulators and 6 km of ground wire.

This power line plays key role in keeping the lights on and ensuring reliable supplies for homes and businesses in Shovgenovsky, Giaginsky, Maikopsky, and Krasnogvardeisky districts of Adygea and Belorechensky district of Krasnodar region. This power facility is also a crucial part in delivering of electricity to the neighbouring Labinsky and Ust-Labinsky districts.

The new installed insulators made of strained glass show high technical and operational performance: greater mechanical resistance, resistance to temperature changes and environmental stability. Ground wire serves to protect conductive parts of power lines from direct lightning strike and ensure smooth functioning of the power line during this thunderstorm season.

Yuri Khimichenko, director of Adygeiskiye power networks, said: 'We will continue this essential repair project on power line 'Shovgenovskaya - Armavir' this autumn. In September we plan to replace another 12 km of ground wire.'
