Raymond James Financial, Inc. has announced two recent leadership appointments in its Global Equities and Investment Banking and Fixed Income divisions. Bill Sammon has been appointed to the new role of head of Financial Services Capital Markets. In this role, Sammon is responsible for leading the coordination of the firm's various capital markets businesses serving financial institution clients, with a focus on the combined sales effort of equities and fixed income to banks, credit unions and insurance companies.

Based in Chicago, Sammon will also continue to serve as head of the Financial Institutions Sales and Trading group and has nearly 30 years of industry experience. Additionally, Ted Hynes has been promoted to head of Fixed Income Sales. Based in New York City, Hynes has nearly 40 years of fixed income experience to draw from as he leads more than 150 salesforce professionals serving Raymond James institutional fixed income investors comprised of banks, credit unions, insurance companies, investment managers and state and local governments.

Hynes will partner with Sammon regarding fixed income sales coverage decisions for financial institutions clients.
