On Sunday (14/09), held under Pasopati Flyover, Bandung, Achilles and Corsa with government of Bandung held a soft launch Bandung Movie Park.
Achilles and Corsa make a garden made for enjoying movies together became the first in Indonesia as well as to enliven the 204th anniversary of Bandung city. Movie Park that utilizes vacant land under Flyover is a part of several new parks that continue to be made by the Government of Bandung, and this is one of Achilles and Corsa contribution to society in the form of CSR programs to Bandung city.
After revitalize and activate several city parks in Bandung such as Music Park, Elderly Park, Photography Park and Singles Park, now Bandung Movie Park has been inaugurated as the new recreation area of Bandung people. The inauguration of Movie Park was conducted by Ridwan Kamil as the Mayor of Bandung, Mr. Wid Sunarya from Nata Sarana Internusa and Mr. Pieter Tanuri from Multistrada Arah Sarana, Achilles and Corsa tire manufacturers.
"We welcome Bandung people to watch Persib match together in this Movie Park. So no need to find other places," said Ridwan Kamil as the Mayor of Bandung at soft launch of Movie Park under Pasopati Flyover.
He added "This is the umpteenth thematic park that has been manifested by the Bandung city government, and in the future we will also realize Persib Park," he said.
The park is open to the entire community and presented with a modern concept, equipped with Videotron size 4m x 8m and with an area of 1300 m2, according to the head of Bandung Landscape, Dadang Darmawan, this movie park has a capacity of up to 500 people and has the power up to 33,000 watts of electricity to operate Videotron.
"I hope that this park could be a new means of entertainment for the people of Bandung with no cost. People should also maintain the facilities that have been granted so that Movie Park can continue to enjoy by the community from generation to generation, "said Pieter Tanuri, President Director of PT Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk.
At the same occasion, also attended the City Representative of Barcelona, Vicente Gaulart. "This is a wonderful project. It could be a place for people to watch movies. I hope, City of Bandung and Barcelona can collaborate in a various activities. Such as on housing, digital technologies, and others," he said.
For a community engaged in the movie business, Bandung Movie Park is a great hope for them to be able to better express their creativity results in making of the film. In the movie business, there is a lot of emerging movie communities, either inside or outside the campus. However, there are not many platforms that provide space for their expression; therefore with the presence of this Bandung Movie Park, Achilles and Corsa hope this park can be a solution to these problems.
