SÃO PAULO--Petróleo Brasileiro said Tuesday evening it signed a contract to supply Companhia de Gás de São Paulo, or Comgas, with natural gas from 2024 through 2034.

Petrobras, as the Brazilian oil company is known, estimated the value of the contract at 56 billion reais, the equivalent of $11.5 billion. Comgas supplies gas to consumers in the cities of São Paulo and Campinas as well as other regions in the São Paulo state.

The contract reinforces an existing commercial partnership between the two companies, Petrobras said.
