PKNORLEN Drilling work carried out by listed fuels company PGNiG Upstream Norway, under the PL211 CS license in the Norwegian Sea, has confirmed that the Adriana field has recoverable natural gas and condensate resources totaling 28-43 million barrels of oil equivalent. As reported, Orlen Group's Norwegian upstream unit, together with its concession partners, drilled a well to obtain precise information on the properties of the Adriana field located in the PL211 CS concession. The well, which is more than 3,000 metres long, showed that the field has recoverable gas and condensate reserves of 28- 43 million barrels of oil equivalent.

This is more than was estimated at the time of the discovery of the field in 2021, whose resources were then estimated at 19-31 million barrels of oil equivalent. The data collected also indicates very good reservoir properties, which could have a positive impact on the profitability of its eventual exploitation. The PL211 CS licence is located about 20 kilometres southwest of the Skarv production area, which is one of the main centres of PGNiG Upstream Norwegian's production activities in the Norwegian Sea.

According to Orlen, due to the short distance, the possible development of the Adriana field can be realised using the Skarv production infrastructure. This would not only reduce costs and the time needed to start production but could also reduce CO2 emissions associated with the development of the field.
