Additional Donations to Support Noto Peninsula
Earthquake Recovery
Tokyo, March 13, 2024 --- MUFG expresses its deepest sympathy to those affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
In light of the fact that many people remain in difficult circumstances due to the earthquake, MUFG today announced that it has decided to make an additional contribution of approximately 17 million yen, including donations from executives and employees, on top of the 50 million yen announced on January 4.
These donations are sourced from:
MUFG Bank: A total of 6 million yen, comprising 3 million yen in donations from executives and employees plus the same amount in matching donations from the Bank
Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking: A total of 2 million yen, comprising 1 million yen in donations from executives and employees plus the same amount in matching donations from the firm
Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Holdings: A total of approximately 9 million yen, comprising 4.5 million yen in donations from executives and employees plus the same amount in matching donations from its companies
These donations will be delivered to the affected areas through the Japanese Red Cross Society.
We sincerely pray for the earliest possible recovery and reconstruction of the affected areas.
