Masterplast : Information on the termination of the investigation against MASTERPLAST Romania S.R.L.

MASTERPLAST Nyilvánosan Működő Részvénytársaság (registered seat: 8143 Sárszentmihály, Árpád u. 1/A, hereinafter referred to as "the Company", "MASTERPLAST Nyrt.") previously reported that an investigation has been extended to the MASTERPLAST Romania S.R.L. which was launched by the Romanian tax authority to an assumed tax claim in relation with anti-dumping laws on imported products concerning the operations of some of the suppliers of the Romanian subsidiary of the Company, and the investigative authority suspected MASTERPLAST Romania S.R.L. and two executive officials of it. For the period of the procedure, as a security for possible future enforcement up to the amount of EUR 2 000 430 (RON 9 951 341), ordered the seizure and banned the alienation of Romanian properties owned by MASTERPLAST Romania S.R.L.

The Company hereby informs the honourable Investors that on 21 December 2023 the Company was informed by its legal representative that the Prosecutor's Office of Court of Appeal of Bihor County and Oradea has terminated the investigation in the above case without any indictment - in the absence of evidence that an offence has been committed - and has ordered the release of the lock on assets applied as an insurance measure.

An appeal against a non-legally binding decision may be lodged by the Romanian tax authority within 20 days of notification.
