Licogi 16 : Signing of the Eastern Section Contract for the Van Phong - Nha Trang Expressway Project

On January 15th, 14:00 at the Project Management Unit 7 (Bộ GTVT), a signing ceremony for Package XL01 of the Vân Phong - Nha Trang component of the East-West Expressway Road Construction Project, phase 2021-2025, was held.

The XL01 Contract Package: Construction of the section from Km285+00 to Km337+500 will be carried out by the consortium of companies, consisting of: Lizen Corporation (LCG) - Leading the consortium; Phuong Thanh Investment and Construction Corporation; Hai Dang Corporation and VNCN E&C Investment and Construction and Engineering Corporation.

Among them, Lizen Corporation (LCG) will be responsible for 58.4% of the contract package; Phuong Thanh Investment and Construction Corporation will be responsible for 10% of the contract package; Hai Dang Corporation will be responsible for 13% of the contract package and VNCN E&C Investment and Construction and Engineering Corporation will be responsible for 18.6% of the contract package. The total length of XL01 Contract Package of the Vân Phong - Nha Trang section of the project is 52.5km.

Director of Project Management 7, Dinh Cong Minh, believes that this is a national key project, so the issue of ensuring project quality and timely completion is extremely important.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Dinh Cong Minh, Director of Project Management Board 7, stated that this is a national key project, therefore ensuring the quality of the construction and the completion of the construction within the schedule is extremely important.

"On the part of the Project Management Board 7 and related functional departments, we are committed and promise to support the creation of the most favorable conditions for the contractor to have a streamlined process for financial resources, to concentrate on inspection and payment, ensuring timely financial resources, or to handle changes arising during the construction process as quickly as possible to create conditions for the contractor to ensure the schedule and quality of the construction," the Director of Project Management Board 7 commented.

Ông Bùi Dương Hùng, Chairman of the Management Board of LIZEN Joint Stock Company - Head of the contractor consortium, spoke at the signing ceremony.

Regarding the contractor side of the project, Mr. Bui Duong Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of LIZEN Joint Stock Company - heads the consortium of contractors responsible for construction of the Vân Phong - Nha Trang section of the Eastern portion of the 2021-2025 National Expressway project, in accordance with the terms of the contract for a 34-month period.

"The four companies in the consortium are all strong in terms of capacity and experience, and there is no reason why we can't successfully complete this task. Of course, there will be challenges along the way, but what's most important is that we are sincere, and if there are any obstacles, we will work together to overcome them," said Mr. Bui Duong Hung.

"We promise to try our best to ensure the progress and quality of the project in accordance with the contract within the 34-month deadline," he added.

The Nha Trang - Vân Phong section of the North-South Expressway project was approved by the Ministry of Transport at Decision No. 910/QD-BGTVT on July 13, 2022. The project is being undertaken by Project Management Unit 7 (Ministry of Transport) as the investor. This is a national-level important project, a Class 1 road transportation infrastructure, with a total investment of more than 11,808 billion VND, using state budget funding.

The project has a total length of 83.35 km; the starting point is in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, and the ending point is in Van Phong, also in Khanh Hoa Province.
