Notice Concerning Providing Housing Support to Ukrainian Refugees: Prepared for Humanitarian Aid Through Its Proven Provision of Fully Furnished Apartment Units

Leopalace21 Corporation (Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Bunya Miyao; the "Company") announced that the Company is going to provide vacant apartment units under its management as part of a humanitarian aid to Ukrainian refugees for a short period of time.

The Japanese government declared on March 2, 2022 its policy of accepting Ukrainian refugees into Japan as part of its humanitarian support for Ukraine. The Company agreed to the government policy and determined to accept Ukraine refugees who were granted by the Japanese government in vacant apartment units under the management in the short term.

Most of the apartment units that the Company manages are equipped with furniture and home appliances and the Company has been providing rental housing service across the country. The Company makes efforts in following the government policy as an established housing service provider for sustaining social infrastructure which has been accepting Ukrainian tenants. The Company is going to work with the government and determine operational details as soon as the national support scheme gets available.

The Company joins the other companies and organizations which announced their intention of providing humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian refugees and contributes to provide housing support. The Company wishes to relieve the Ukrainians' suffering and restore the peace in Ukraine and the world.
