In collaboration with Sama Academy, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has wrapped up its Arabic Language initiative, the first of its kind in the banking sector, geared towards teaching employees' kids the Arabic language by Kuwaiti talents using the Scandinavian method.

The program witnessed over 100 participants engaging in two major activities: "Writing Story Contest" and "Reading Marathon".

The initiative reflects KFH's interest in its employees and their families as well as its keenness to launch valuable initiatives for the community.

Undoubtedly, such programs motivate children to engage in beneficial and enjoyable activities during their free time. Through these two activities, children gained proficiency in reading, speaking, writing, and listening skills, all rooted in studies covering various aspects of life. This is part of KFH's recognition of the pivotal role families play in enhancing employees' performance in the workplace.

Hind, the daughter of Saleh Mohammed Al-Fahad and a participant in the contest, won the writing story competition with her piece titled "The Gift". Her story holds profound lessons on saving, generosity, and entrepreneurship, and will be distributed to all employees.

Meanwhile, KFH teamed up with the Kuwaiti artist Lulwa Al Mathkoor to illustrate the narrative of the story in its effort to foster youth talents.

The linguistic proficiency of participating children increased by 20%, which is a significant improvement considering their age and the timeframe. Modern studies have shown that language proficiency is a measure of language strength, and the more a child reads, the better their command of language becomes.

KFH Senior Manager Employee Communication and Engagement, Sara AlSalem, said that the significant participation witnessed in this initiative reflects the high awareness of parents of the importance of the Arabic language, investing in kids and innovative sciences in contributing to creating a generation able to lead the present and build for the future.

She added that the initiative reflects the passion for the Arabic language and providing the necessary sources for establishing a cohort of active writers from Kuwait.

AlSalem pointed out that KFH is constantly organizing activities and initiatives for employees and their families throughout the year. This is part of KFH's view that taking care of employees' well-being promotes employee engagement in the workplace.
