Commuters at India's Southern Railway can buy cloth bags from a vending machine at the Tiruchy railway junction, according to a report in The New Indian Express.

The Indian Oil Corp. Ltd. has sponsored the machine as part of its corporate responsibility initiative.

The machine is located at the main entrance near Platform 1 and offers cloth bags for Rs 20 (24 cents) which can be paid in Rs 10 (12 cents) notes or using coins in denominations of Rs 5 (6 cents) and 10 (12 cents). Users can also pay using the QR code.

The bags are provided from old clothes disposed at recycling boxes at composting centers.

The station is located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.
