Zagreb, 21 March 2024 - On International Day of Forests, INA is opening the call for applications to co-fund projects and ideas contributing to environmental and climate protection. Applications are open from 21 March to 21 April at midnight.

The Green Belt programme is open to all civil society organisations, public and educational institutions, nature parks, and volunteer fire departments in Croatia. In the last ten years, 149 programmes were implemented with the support of the Green Belt programme and co-funded by INA with EUR 420,000, greening an area of 241,203 m².

The objective of this year's Green Belt contest is to expand green areas, in particular in inhabited areas and cities and to maximize areas that provide communities with environmental, aesthetic, health and climate benefits. A professional committee will select the projects to receive support, plus three additional projects that will compete for the most views on YouTube.

"We are proudly celebrating the eleventh anniversary of INA's Green Belt and inviting all interested parties to join our environmental protection efforts. Under the programme, we have already achieved substantial successes in the expansion of green areas together with our partners, and now the time has come to include our cities and villages as well. Your idea can be the next step toward a more sustainable future. Join us and let's build a better world together", said Tamara Karagity, Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing at INA.

INA's Green Belt programme was featured in the Global Sustainable Development Report for 2018 as an example of good practices due to its direct contribution to preserving life of Earth as one of the 17 global sustainable development goals set by the United Nations. Do not miss this chance to expand the green belt with your idea and to help protect our planet.
