Horizon Discovery Group plc announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2017. For the period, the company reported revenue of £12,101,000 as compared to £10,203,000 for the same period last year. Operating loss was £8,232,000 as compared to £6,354,000 for the same period last year. Loss before tax was £8,489,000 as compared to £6,439,000 for the same period last year. Loss for the period was £8,215,000 as compared to £6,023,000 for the same period last year. Basic and diluted loss per share was 8.6 pence as compared to 6.4 pence for the same period last year. Net cash outflow from operating activities was £3,629,000 as compared to £3,644,000 for the same period last year. Purchases of property, plant and equipment was £1,360,000 as compared to £4,652,000 for the same period last year. Purchase of intangible assets was £551,000 as compared to £1,422,000 for the same period last year.

The group expects to achieve revenue of £30 million - £33 million on a standalone basis, £37 million - £41 million inclusive of the impact of the acquisition of Dharmacon for the full year of 2017. Full year EBITDA for the enlarged group is expected to be approximately break-even prior to exceptional items and discontinued operations.
