Grand Canyon Education, Inc Announces the Resignation of Brian M. Roberts as Senior Vice President and General Counsel; Relocates Its Corporate Office

On July 1, 2018, Grand Canyon Education, Inc., consummated an Asset Purchase Agreement with Gazelle University, an Arizona nonprofit corporation. Prior to the consummation of the transactions contemplated by the Asset Purchase Agreement, the company operated Grand Canyon University (‘GCU'), a comprehensive university, regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (the ‘HLC'), that offers over 225 graduate and undergraduate degree programs, emphases and certificates across nine colleges both online and on ground at its over 275 acre campus in Phoenix, Arizona. Upon the closing of the transaction, Gazelle University changed its name to Grand Canyon University (‘New GCU'). In connection with ‘Asset Purchase Agreement and Related Agreements,' effective upon the closing of the transaction, Mr. Brian M. Roberts, the Company's Senior Vice President and General Counsel, resigned his employment with the company and became the Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of New GCU.
The company relocated its corporate offices from 3300 West Camelback Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85017 to 2600 West Camelback Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85017, effective July 1, 2018.
Grand Canyon Education, Inc. is an education services company, which primarily serves colleges and universities. The Company has developed technological solutions, infrastructure and operational processes to provide services to its institutions on a large scale. It provides technology and academic services, which include learning management system (LMS), internal administration, infrastructure, support, program and curriculum, faculty and related training and development, class scheduling and skills and simulation lab sites. The Company provides counseling services and support, including admissions services, financial aid, counseling services, and field experience counseling. The Company provides marketing and communication services that include lead acquisition, digital communication strategies, brand identity advertising, media planning and strategy, video, data science and analysis. Its back-office services include finance and accounting, human resources, audit and procurement.
