Maintech Power, the High Voltage (HV) installation and maintenance specialist, has welcomed highly experienced industry expert Alan Macintyre to the business as part of its strategy to increase its presence across the UK.

Alan, who has spent more than 40 years in the electrical and construction sectors, joins as Business Development Manager, working with new and existing customers to support Maintech's expanding position in the industrial & commercial and renewable energy sectors.

Alan began his career as an electrical apprentice, becoming a JIB-approved electrician in 1980. He subsequently moved into management roles, followed by 20 years in business development and estimating, including project management and design & build.

The appointment of Alan comes as Maintech continues to strengthen its experienced team by recruiting for several specialist roles including HV/LV Technicians, Jointers, and Maintenance Technicians.

The Ipswich-based company, which is part of the Fulcrum Group, is one of a small number of specialist electrical infrastructure businesses capable of delivering highly complex projects up to 132Kv.

It has seen strong growth, particularly in the renewable energy sector, and through the installation and maintenance of private electricity networks for large industrial and commercial sites.

Maintech has an excellent reputation in the high voltage sector, and I am keen to bring my experience from construction and electrical industries to help further develop its presence.

Alan Macintyre

We are delighted to welcome Alan to our growing team. His decades of experience in this sector will help us on our journey to reaching net zero, which is gaining pace as the country makes the transition to clean, renewable energy generation and storage.

We provide exciting career opportunities for talented engineers and technicians who are keen to work on significant and complex electrical projects across the UK.

Richard Jupp, Divisional Director, Maintech
