02/18/2022

Andrey Ryumin, Director General of PJSC Rosseti, during his working trip to Krasnodar Territory visited substations that form part of the "Olympic" complex and ensure power supply to the city of Sochi and the Federal Territory Sirius. He also discussed plans for the further development of the power grid of the Sochi Power Center with the management of Rosseti Kuban and the branch of Rosseti FGC UES - MES South.

Andrey Ryumin inspected the 110 kV "Imeretinskaya", "Ledovy Dvorets" and the 220 kV "Psou" highly automated substations. The total transformer capacity of substations exceeds 730 MVA. These facilities are tooled up with modern equipment, including gas-insulated switchgears (GIS). This is a modern and fireproof solution that ensures the required level of reliability.

The 110 kV "Imeretinskaya" and "Ledovy Dvorets" substations were built on the eve of the 2014 Olympic Games to cover the peak demands. Today, they supply power to the territory of the Imereti Lowlands where hotels and sanatoriums of the coastal cluster, residential areas, and the Sirius educational center are located. The 220 kV substation "Psou" also participates in the output of the large-scale power generation capacity - Sochi and Adler TPPs.

Rosseti Group continues to modernize substations of the resort area in Sochi to increase reliability and ensure future loads. It is planned to commission 210 MVA of new transformer capacity for housing construction, to connect new consumers in the social sector and the tourism industry. The reconstruction of the 110 kV Adler, Kudepsta and Pasechnaya substations are the main projects for 2022-2023. The total cost of the work is about 2.4 RUB bln," Andrey Ryumin noted.
