On March 15, COSCO SHIPPING SPECIALIZED officially passed METSÄ FIBRE's audit of sustainably developed supplier with an excellent score. The result not only establishes a solid foundation for the project cooperation between two companies, but it also reveals the Company's Strength of global maritime transport of paper pulp.

It took half year to complete the qualification audit, and the contents cover wide range with restrict requirements, including 49 detailed items of sustainable development of the company, business operation, social responsibility, QHSE management, and environmental protection. The completion of the audit involved the participacion of Multi-Purpose & Heavy Lift Fleet Department, Safety & Quality Department, Marketing Center, Ship Management Department, and Strategy Development Department. It is reported that only few companies can be credited as excellent supplier by METSÄ FIBRE. Such reward not only approves the company's management quality, but it also reveals the company's strength of providing global high-end clients with shipping logistic service.

METSÄ FIBRE is a leading giant wood pulp producer in the world, and its annual paper pulp production is 2.4 million tons. COSCO SHIPPING SPECIALIZED signed Finland paper pulp transport project in 2016, and M.V. Tian Qi loaded 29,200 tons of paper pulps from Finland to China in August. It is the first self-owned ice free vessel sailing loaded paper pulpsin the backhaul journey of Europe via Northeast channel, which enhances of the company service ability in this area. In order to match clients' demand, the company is upgrading its hardware by dispatching more new-building vessels with enhanced cargoworthness. The multipurpose vessel is equipped with big hatch, box shaped cargo hold, and giant crane, which is suitable to transport paper pulp.
