CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. -
December 5, 2023 - The Cencora Impact Foundation, an independent not-for-profit charitable giving organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of human and animal populations, recently held its fifth annual conference at Cencora's headquarters for a two-day symposium. Bringing together more than 40 nonprofit partners and leaders, the forum fostered a meaningful discussion on how Cencora, the Cencora Impact Foundation's nonprofit partners and fellow business leaders can better partner, collaborate and collectively create a more significant impact on communities around the world.

"Partnership is fundamental to ensuring we're able to expand access to healthcare on a global scale," said Gina Clark, President of the Cencora Impact Foundation and Cencora's Chief Communications & Administration Officer. "As our business has become increasingly global, so too has the focus of our Foundation. While they vary in the details, the healthcare challenges that we face are not specific to any one country and the scale of the challenges is immense - a scale that is far too large for any one organization or funder to address alone."

Central to the Cencora Impact Foundation's approach and engagement, partnerships serve as an essential building block to advancing the global reach and mission of improving health outcomes. Through co-created, focused and long-term collaboration, Cencora and its partners are coming together to create connections that can help to solve global issues through a localized approach.

This sentiment was top-of-mind throughout the conference's series of panel discussions and networking events, including:

  • Peter Yeo, Senior Vice President of the UN Foundation and President of the Better World Campaign keynote remarks on building health access on the ground in some of the world's poorest countries, as well as the work funded by the Cencora Impact Foundation to deliver health services to refugee populations.
  • A case-study panel featuring Foundation partners the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation, International Health Partners - UK, Project HOME and Sostento discussing the power of partnership with other NGOs and donors.
  • An in-depth look at Cencora's refreshed name change, strategic direction and several key business units, including illuminating new ways nonprofit partners can collaborate with the company beyond the Foundation to create healthier futures.
  • A workshop focused on building a culture of inclusion, including a look at Cencora's inclusion journey from Ann Anaya, Cencora's Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer, as well as actionable ways for attendees to foster inclusion with their teams and the populations they serve.
  • A resilience planning workshop conducted by Healthcare Ready, a Foundation partner, in conjunction with Cencora's Global Business Resilience team. Participants engaged in practical stakeholder mapping and business continuity planning exercises designed to fortify their capacity to navigate crises and ensure uninterrupted services in challenging circumstances.
