Bashundhara Paper Mills Limited announced earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended 31 March 2018. For the quarter, the company reported profit after tax of BDT 145.05 million and basic EPS BDT 0.98 against profit after tax of BDT 135.84 million and basic EPS of BDT 0.92 for the same period of the previous year. It is to be noted that basic EPS has been calculated based on weighted average Pre-IPO paid-up number of shares 147,749,775 in both the periods of 2018 and 2017 respectively. However, considering Post-IPO 173,791,441 number of shares the company's basic EPS for the three months period ended on 31 March 2018 would be BDT 0.83. For the nine months, profit after tax was BDT 321.76 million and basic EPS was BDT 2.18 as against profit after tax of BDT 273.14 million and basic EPS of BDT 1.85 for the same period of the previous year. It is to be noted that the said basic EPS has been calculated based on weighted average Pre-IPO paid-up number of shares 147,749,775 in both the periods of years 2018 and 2017 respectively. However, considering Post-IPO 173,791,441 number of shares the company's basic EPS would be BDT 1.85 for nine months period ended on 31 March 2018.
