AGREEMENT BETWEEN FONDAZIONE MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA AND BANCA

MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA FINALISED

Siena, 7 October 2021 - Fondazione Monte dei Paschi di Siena Foundation ("FMPS") and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A. ("Bank") have today finalized the agreement - the main parts of which have been previously communicated - for the settlement of all disputes arising between the parties.

As a result of the agreement, FMPS will obtain, among other things, the payment of 150 million euros and have commitments regarding the promotion of the Bank's artistic heritage and the destination of the Rocca Salimbeni property, on which there will be pre-emption rights in favor of FMPS.
