Alicorp S.A.A. announced the appointment of Mrs. Magdalena Sofia Morales Valentín as new Corporate Affairs Vice President. Mrs. Morales will assume the Company’s Corporate Affairs team leadership and will oversee every aspect of the Company’s corporate communications, corporate social responsibility programs and environmental affairs. Until recently, Mrs. Morales has been Senior Director of Corporate Affairs in Llorente & Cuenca, a leading reputation, communications and public affairs management consultancy in Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Prior to that, she was part of Backus - AB Inbev team for 25 years where she oversaw the sustainability, reputational and corporate affairs strategies. Additionally, she led the Backus Foundation, implementing the social investment strategy of the company.
Alicorp SAA is a Peru-based company engaged in the food processing industry. The Company operates through four business segments: Massive Consumption, Industrial Products, and Nutrition for Animals, and Others Services. The Companyâs activities include the production, packaging and distribution of a variety of oils, pastas, flour, cookies, sauces, instant soft drink powders, pet food and Omega-3 fatty acid, among others. It is also involved in the manufacture and sale of cosmetics, personal care and cleaning products. The Companyâs products are marketed nationwide, as well as exported to Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Haiti, Guatemala, Costa Rica, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Canada, Panama, Mauritius, Curacao, China, the Bahamas, Norway, Japan and Honduras.
