The export of Ukrainian sunflower seeds has grown 3.6 times since the beginning of 2021. In January-February 2021, Ukraine exported 32 thousand tons of sunflower seeds, which is 3.6 times more than in the same period in 2020. In monetary terms, exports in the reporting period reached $ 13.27 million against $ 4.17 million in January-February 2020.

Prices for Ukrainian sunflower oil fell after record levels. Offer prices for the supply of crude vegetable oil from Ukraine in the April-May period lost more than $ 150 per ton per week and dropped to $ 1540-1550 per ton. Last week, offer prices exceeded $ 1,700 per tonne FOB. Pressure on prices for Ukrainian sunflower oil was also exerted by rather aggressive offers for the supply of oil from other competing countries, including Russia and Argentina.

The volume of forward contracts for the delivery of corn for the future harvest in Ukraine has already reached about 2.5-3 million tons, which is significantly higher than the previous season, when such a level of sales was achieved only in June. Agrometeorological conditions for the end of wintering of winter crops in Ukraine are generally assessed as satisfactory. The state of the crops was evaluated as mostly good and satisfactory.

After falling sharply in the past few days, prices have recovered in the US market, especially for wheat. 'The recent decline has been driven by rainfall in the southern United States, as well as in places in the northern plains, where more spring wheat is grown. Crop health ratings have risen in most states. Wheat, however, remains more competitive than corn for feed producers, implying an increase in consumption in this sector, 'analysts said.

Representatives of Ukraine and Poland discussed ongoing cooperation in agriculture and agreed to strengthen cooperation in areas such as veterinary and phytosanitary measures, organic production, rural development, seed production and protection of plant varieties. The company's EBITDA decreased by 33% to € 7.55 million (2019 - € 11.2 million). Net debt at the end of the year increased by 27% - to € 27.24 million against € 21.47 million in 2019. The ratio of net debt to EBITDA for the reporting period was 3.61 (2019 - 1.92).
