The results of the 2011 annual review confirm that ACCIONA remains a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) for the fifth consecutive year. The results come into effect as of September 19th.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes is a family of stock market indexes whose components are required to display advanced practices in the range of factors that make up corporate responsibility.

Special mention should be made of the high score obtained by ACCIONA in the Construction sector in the non-financial assessment of projects, which stands well above the industry average. The Company also obtained the sector's highest score for Code of Conduct, Compliance and Anti-corruption, Environment Report and Labor Data. ACCIONA's assessment showed improvements in relevant areas such as Environment policy and management, Climate Change and Health and Workplace Health and Safety, all of which are recognized as part of the Company's efforts and commitment to Sustainability.

For the 2011 annual review, the DJSI brings together only 10% of the Dow Jones Global Indexes' 2,500 components made up of listed companies form the world's major stock markets following a highly demanding process of analysis and selection.

Of the 2,500 invited to take part this year, 342 made it to the final list and were classified in 57 sectors arranged in 19 supersectors.

Along with ACCIONA, the 2011 Index features a total of 20 Spanish companies, including Abertis, ACS, BBVA, Santander, CaixaBank, DIA, Endesa, Ferrovial, FCC, Gamesa, Gas Natural, Iberdrola, Indra, Inditex, Mapfre, REE, Telefónica, Repsol and Enagás.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes was first launched in 1999 and since then it has established itself as one of the world's major exponents of socially responsible investment.
