New owner for Noble Energy. Chevron announced on Monday the purchase of Noble Energy for $5 billion in an all-equity transaction, taking advantage of the loss of asset value after the fall in oil prices to strengthen its presence in shale. 

Disney distances itself from Facebook. Walt Disney has reportedly severely reduced its ads on Facebook, another example of the mistrust of the social network among major accounts. According to the Wall Street Journal, Disney did not publicly communicate its intentions, but quietly cut back. When contacted, a Facebook representative simply kept a low profile by announcing that the group still has a lot of work to do and continues to work with civil rights groups to improve its control.

Philips is suffering but resisting. Dutch group Koninklijke Philips recorded a contraction in earnings in the second quarter, but the figures remain above analysts' expectations. Management was fairly optimistic that revenues and earnings would recover in the second half of the year.

#twitterhack. The hacking of the Twitter accounts of several personalities was made possible by the manipulation of company employees, revealed the American group. The hackers targeted 130 celebrity accounts and took control of 45 of them. "We are embarrassed, disappointed and above all we are sorry," the company said. The hackers used the accounts to try to get Bitcoin.

Jackpot for Lockheed. Lockheed Martin will upgrade all C130J Super Hercules transport aircraft for the U.S. Army in a 10-year, $15 billion contract. Old but robust, the aircraft is widely used all over the world.
