Amazing Amazon. On Cyber Monday, Amazon recorded its biggest shopping day in history, with the most products ordered worldwide than any other day. The company said that on the five days starting with Thanksgiving and continuing through Cyber Monday, customers purchased “millions more products” compared to the same period last year

Not easy. The European Commission requires significant concessions before allowing a marriage between Alstom and Siemens Mobility, according to the Financial Times, confirming recent rumors. The Chinese competition must be quite happy about it.

Majority. Axa will pay €584 million to buy back 50 % of Chinese insurer Axa Tianping that it does not yet own. "This transaction is a first in the Chinese insurance market: it allows a foreign player to fully own a major property and casualty insurer with national coverage," said Axa's Chief Executive Officer.

Edenred crosses the Channel. The French company is acquiring 80% of TRFC, the UK's fourth largest fuel card company in this market. The cost is around £95 million ($107.5m). The transaction will be accretive to EBIT and net income in 2019, according to Edenred.

Takeover. Accor launches the repurchase of the remaining 47.3% stake in Polish company Orbis for €442 million. A PLN 87 ($23) takeover bid will be filed. If the offeror holds 90 % of the units, it will delist in Warsaw. The group is holding an investor day today in parallel.

GM is cutting into its workforce. General Motors will cut nearly 15,000 jobs worldwide, including several thousand in the United States, where four sites will be closed. This obviously triggered Donald Trump's fury.
