FTSE 100 Poised to Fall After Downbeat Asia, US Trading

0731 GMT - The FTSE 100 looks set to open 37 points lower at 7940, according to IG futures data, after downbeat trading in Asia and on Wall Street. Markets in mainland China, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea all fall and the Dow closed Tuesday 2% lower. "FOMC minutes will be released tonight, but considering the upside surprises in U.S. data lately and the hawkish remarks by several FOMC members, the message from the minutes may well be outdated by now," Danske Bank analysts say in a note.
