(Nasdaq: PEET), the premier specialty coffee and tea company in the U.S., and Metropolitan Coffee & Concession (MC2), today announced a new partnership that will feature a full-service Peet's Coffee & Tea program in eight San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) stations located in the greater Bay Area. Owned and operated by MC2, the kiosks are scheduled to be rolled out by end of 2008 offering customers and commuters a truly distinctive coffee experience featuring hand-crafted beverages and the freshest, artisan-roasted whole bean coffee available.

The first Peet's kiosk is scheduled to roll out at the end of April inside the Embarcadero BART Station, followed by a second location scheduled to open mid-May at the Montgomery St. BART Station. Additional kiosks confirmed include BART's Pittsburgh/BayPoint, Downtown Berkeley, Civic Center and Daly City stations. The final two kiosks are not yet confirmed at this time.

Under Peet's licensing program, the kiosks will showcase Peet's signature retail store design and MC2 employees will offer Peet's unique coffee and tea beverages to the Company's exacting standards. Additionally, the kiosks will offer a selection of specially packaged Peet's Deep-Roasted(R) coffees, hand roasted daily by skilled artisans to ensure superior freshness.
