Minera Valparaiso SA is a Chile-based holding company engaged, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, in the generation, distribution and sale of electric energy, as well as in the forestry, mining, port services and real estate sectors. The Company owns such subsidiaries as Cominco SA, a mining company; Forestal Cominco SA, an entity active in the forestry sector; Puerto de Lirquen SA a multipurpose port terminal operator; and Forestal y Pesquera Callaqui SA, which is involved in the paper and forestry industries; among others.
