Wirecard AG shares will stop trading on the Xetra--the reference market for exchange trading in German shares and exchange-traded funds--by the end of Thursday, a spokesman for German stock-exchange operator Deutsche Boerse AG told The Wall Street Journal on Thursday.

However, shares in the collapsed German fintech company will continue trading on other venues, such as the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the spokesman added.

Wirecard filed for insolvency in June 2020, after admitting that more than $2 billion of cash it had reported on its balance sheet didn't exist.
